THE PROJECT
The decision to create an online presence on Facebook arose - mainly because we wanted to keep these cases in the forefront of the minds of the people in this community. Even more importantly - in the forefront of the minds of the offenders and silent witnesses.
This is our way of communicating the message:
We have not forgotten about these cases and we are going to do everything in our power to make sure they don't either. Everyday - Someone in our community is wondering...
"Will this be the day" or feeling a deep and painful pull, a drive to discover the truth about their missing loved one or, in some cases, to finally get closure about their loved ones unsolved homicide...
We will continue to work on their behalf.
Everyday someone wakes up the knowledge that their loved one may be gone forever, seemingly without a trace.
A lot of times they are left with more questions than answers... They may not know how, why or who was responsible.
Everyday - someone else wakes up with the answers that are needed to bring these cases to a close. Knowledge that would give a family closure, or bring someone home safely.
While we are aware of the many reasons why someone may be reluctant to come forward, we maintain the hope that something will change.
Priorities, ethics, values and beliefs change with time and individual growth. We will be here waiting for that that day to come.
